Tales from the Inner Sea
Extremely tanned, wiry and short, this dark haired and dark eyed man can be deceptively quick and agile and also amazingly indolent, depending on the moment.
Mercio is the First Mate upon the Tarraco, and manages to make his job look easy and leisurely; quite how he manages the demands of his position this way is some feat but he doesn’t complain about it. He’s been at sea in one way or another for 15 years and has been in the employ of Goncalvio for quite a few of them. He likes a good pipe (whatever he smokes is not tobacco that’s for sure), a good drink and a bad woman. He prefers to go barefoot about the deck and even on dry land, and his only concession to decency when aboard a vessel is a disreputable tunic that whilst being “lucky” as he puts it, is hardly worthy of the title of garment. He has a knife and a dagger on his person when there is a need, but he’d rather avoid physical trouble if at all possible thank you.
